UK Covid Restrictions
In England, the government is lifting the last remaining domestic restrictions. There are still precautions you may do to lower your chances of contracting and transmitting COVID-19:
- Get a vaccination
- Allow for fresh air if meeting indoors, or meet outside.
- Consider using a face mask in busy, confined areas.
- If you have COVID-19 symptoms, get tested and stay at home if you test positive.
Recent and upcoming changes:
Spring COVID-19 booster , this guideline applies to England Care home residents, those aged 75 and up, and those with a weaker immune system aged 12 and up will be encouraged to have a spring COVID-19 booster. When your spring booster is due, the NHS will call you and encourage you to schedule it.
This guideline takes effect on March 18th , and it is applicable across the United Kingdom. When travelling to the UK from overseas, you will no longer be required to complete any COVID-19 tests or fill out a passenger locator form as of 4 a.m. on Friday, March 18. These changes apply whether you are completely vaccinated or not.
This advice is applicable to England as of February 24 . If you test positive for COVID-19, you are not required to self-isolate. If possible, stay at home and avoid interaction with others. You will not be required to take daily tests or to self-isolate after coming into touch with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. The Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme is coming to an end. If you were advised to self-isolate before February 24th, you have until April 6th to file a claim.
